New Updated 6880 Motor With Embedded Hall Sensor and Bigger Bearing

New updated 6880 motor features VS old version: New version is with embedded hall sensor to stator:Hall sensor board is more stable and motor has more precise positioning and more smooth starup. With changing the hall sensor position, inside space is bigger than before and the original small bearing inside the stator can be replaced with a larger model, which increases the lifetime of the motor.  Mounting holes are updated to 8x M4 with deeper thread 11mm. Motor installation will be firmer. New drawing with updated embeded hall sensor:  Other Features: The motors are suitable for the electric skateboards or...

What's the difference of VESC current mode, duty cycle mode and PID speed control mode?

What's the difference of VESC current mode, duty cycle mode and PID speed control mode?

Current control - controls the current to the motor and consequently the torque, it gives torque control (acceleration) but does not limit or try to control the speed.Duty cycle control - controls the duty cycle (voltage) to the motor and consequently the speed, it gives rough speed control (velocity) but does not control the current (the maximum set motor current will be used to accelerate or decelerate the motor to the commanded duty cycle). Will not increase the duty cycle to maintain the same speed when under heavy load. PID speed control - controls the ERPM (velocity) of the motor,...

What is the difference between brushless Inrunner and outrunner motor?

Outrunner: The permanent magnets on the outrunner are placed on the rotor and the rotor spins on the outside case. On the inside of the motor are the stator windings which do not rotate, they are fixed in position. For example:  Outrunner Black Sealed Sensored Motors Outrunner Open Cover Sensored Motors Outrunner Sensorless Motors Inrunner: On the outer side of the motor is the case. The case in this situation does not rotate and is fixed. The stator windings are placed on the inside face of the case. When you spin the motor shaft of an inrunner, you are spinning...
